Frequently Asked Questions

Usually, it’s quite easy to remove the frozen popsicles from the molds. However, sometimes it can get a little tricky after they’ve been in the freezer for hours, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered for situations like that. With these simple tricks, even the toughest of popsicles won't stand a chance:

• Let the molds sit on the counter for a couple of minutes. The silicone will soften up which will make the unmoulding easier.

• Allow air into the molds by gently wiggling the ice pops until they come out.

• Run the molds under warm water for a few moments and the popsicles will come loose.

All PopsicleLab molds are made of food grade silicone. Our high-quality material is BPA-free and FDA approved. You may have heard of the silicone pinch test, which claims to determine whether a silicone item is indeed 100% pure silicone. Allow us to shed some light on this myth. There is no way to determine whether a silicone item is free of harmful plasticizers by pinching or twisting it. The presence of some white silicone in the molds when twisting it, is due to the color pigments being stretched. Silicone starts out as clear or white after production and then it is being colored.

Our silicone is safe for use in the freezer and dishwasher. Our molds are

sturdy and will fit in every freezer.

It may sometimes happen, although very rarely, that your new popsicle molds have a bad smell right after production. That is nothing to be worried about and the odor will disappear over time. In any case, we recommend cleaning the molds in the dishwasher before first use. If the smell persists, then try baking the molds in the oven at 250F for about 20- 30 minutes and that should do the trick.
